KNUCEA – a modern center of architectural and civil engineering sciences of Northeastern region of Ukraine

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the relevant issue of history of the formation of a modern center of architectural and civil engineering sciences that Kharkiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture is in the Northeastern region of Ukraine.

The main stages of forming the areas of scientific inquiry during many decades are reviewed. Main directions of research undertaken by university’s scientists are covered. Author highlighted the main existing scientific schools and their scientific achievements. A special attention is provided to the training of specialists of highest category by post-graduate and doctoral study.
